Basically, what this article is saying is that by treated the hosts that carry bacteria will help reduce disease in people as well as pets.

For years I talked about one of the hosts, the white-footed mouse in which ticks and other vectors would feed off these mice only to carry the bacteria which would infect humans and pets.

Reservoir Hosts: small animals such as squirrels, chipmunks and white-footed mice that naturally carry the bacteria responsible for Lyme disease. Ticks pick up the bacteria when they feed on these animals and can then pass it to humans or other animals through bites.

"Our entire philosophy is to prevent these small mammals running in the wild from having these pathogens so that they don't have a chance of transmitting them via ticks to humans or dogs," Seshu said in a statement.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately 476,000 people may be diagnosed with and treated for Lyme disease in the United States each year.
21 years well ~ used Dr. Jernigan's protocol from his book about Biological Medicine (used Borrelogen, Microbojen and Neuro-Antitox). Detoxing, drink Green Vibrance. I come back to help others for others helped me when I was sick. Pay it forward! smile

one thought that comes to my mind is that if it lowers bacterial counts 1000 fold - and is super easy to take as an orally administered vaccine - also typically very safe - why aren't they targeting its use in human patients ...
ill since Feb 2015 – Lyme (Armin), Mycoplasma Pn, suspected Bart
Bart now conclusively diagnosed by microscopy see https://tinyurl.com/2eatxxz7
60% recovered - most useful approaches:
=Wholefood Keto Diet
=Exercise – initially walking – now weights too
=Buhner Lyme herbs and co-infect herbs
=Immune modulation- Ivermectin and LDN
=Methylene Blue (Bart)
+T4 and T3 for thyroid

I am guessing there is not enough information as of yet. Perhaps it's not safe for human consumption.

Looking at the big picture, if killing off the bacteria that these hosts carry, then people and dogs wouldn't get lyme in the first place. That would be fantastic!

If the small rodent population gets decimated from this you will have the answer to your question. You can’t ask a rodent how it feels. But if it dies, that’s the answer.

And what about Eagles health (and other large predatory birds ) that eat these small rodents? Next to Alaska, the region I live in has the largest population of bald eagles in North America (that’s also including Canada). There’s probably one over my house right now. They’re everywhere.

The now outlawedDDT farmers pesticide in the 1970s washed into lakes and rivers, contaminating fish and eventually decimated the North American Eagle population for two decades..

What comes around goes around….
