Has anyone out there heard of the Malone Antegrade Continence Enema surgical procedure? I have been suffering from chronic constipation for so many years now that my colon basically doesn't work anyone. A doc I saw today suggested this surgical option to me. Before I gave it any serious consideration, I thought it would be nice to talk to someone who's actually had it.
Sorry jbara. I have never heard of this surgical procedure. I'm a little confused though because of the name since it states enema and you are saying surgical procedure. I will definitely have to look it up. Hopefully someone can give some insight to at least what it is.

Thanks Dbab... if you're really curious about this (yes, it's a surgical procedure), you can find numerous sites on both Yahoo and Google about it. It's definitely one of the stranger procedures I've ever heard of, but given my alternatives (and the doctor who told me about it... on Denver's list of top docs), I'm going to at least find out all I can about it. I feel like I've exhausted just about all my resources... no surprise given the fact that I've been suffering with this problem for over 30 years
