What is with the mepron flavoring?
The stuff made by Lupin tastes like citrus.
The stuff made by Glenmark tastes like cake frosting.
The stuff made by KVK-Tech tastes like basil or oregano.
Not chocolate flavored. Maybe vanilla? The Glenmark stuff is actually the least flavored of the three.
hi Quin
what is the pricing of these options like
i would like to try a therapeutic trial of Mepron - but all the sources i have seen seem to be prohibitively expensive
ill since Feb 2015 – Lyme (Armin), Mycoplasma Pn, suspected Bart
Bart now conclusively diagnosed by microscopy see https://tinyurl.com/2eatxxz7
50% recovered - most useful approaches:
=Wholefood Keto Diet
=Exercise – initially walking – now weights too
=Buhner Lyme herbs and co-infect herbs
=Immune modulation- Ivermectin and LDN
=Methylene Blue (Bart)
+T4 and T3 for thyroid

Generally between $200 and $400 a bottle in the USA. I don't know what the pricing would be in the UK. In many European countries, atovaquone is sold under the brand name Wellvone rather than Mepron.
I originally took mepron for a suspected babesia infection, but I found it was actually much more effective at treating bartonella and coronavirus. I got over both, but now I've got a recurring mold or fungal infection and I can't tolerate fluconazole, so I'm taking atovaquone, which actually works quite well on many fungal infections.
It is getting expensive, and my insurance won't cover it.
Often the pharmacies don't have it in stock and have to order it. The price varies a lot. The Lupin stuff seems to be among the cheapest, but they can't always get that, so they order whatever they can get and I get quoted various different prices.
What I've done is to use a goodrx or similar coupon, and get the pharmacist to confirm the price. Then I go to cardcash.com and buy the discount gift cards for whichever pharmacy I'm using (mostly CVS/Walgreens/RiteAid) which saves around 10% usually, but it varies depending on which gift cards they have in stock. Cardcash also offers an additional 2% discount if you pay with bitcoin, which is a good deal if you have bitcoin left over after ordering from AllDayChemist.

thanks for the info Quin -
i have been trying to find it as a generic from overseas pharmacies - but not much luck - will try searching under Wellvone in case that brings up any hits

Lupin and Glenmark are in India, so you'd think ADC could get atovaquone as with other meds from India. Perhaps they just don't want to keep it in stock due to the cost. Maybe you could e-mail them and ask?

They sold Malarone - maybe they don’t want to sell the Mepron - because it can spoil if it gets too warm? Malarone doesn’t as it’s a pill.
