Metformin Depletes Magnesium?

I haven't been around for a while so 'HI!' to my old friends heresmile

I was recently told that my magnesium levels were alarmingly low so my GP was sent me for infusions and to see an Internal Medicine specialist. He had no answers so sent me for more blood samples and that was that. Afterwards, I did a simple Google search, looking for chemicals that deplete magnesium levels and the first thing that popped up was Metformin, which I have been taking for about 20 years now.. I'm now waiting for doctor appointments to discuss all this

All in all, this has taught me that your health is your health so you have to be vigilant.
Hi there,
Infusions are the best. I have been on metformin for 20 to 15 years, never checked for magnesium.I started taking magnesium oxide powder from today onwards. Will get it checked after 90 days.lets see.
Being vigilant about health is the best policy.
Good luck!
