I’ve been diagnosed with mono.. I’ve been sick w/fever ,nausea & aches for 12 days.. I am also recovering from a radical hysterectomy at the same time.. I’m so tired of being sick 🤕 .. has anyone had this and can tell me how many more days before my fever will break for good? I seem to be a little better today but still low grade of 100. Does it gradually get better or just wake up one day and it’s gone?
Hello, sorry to read that you are having these issues. Recovering from surgery can be tough enough, but add in another illness just doesn't help at all. I was diagnosed with mono many years ago. It was close to Christmas, rather than see my personal physician I opted for a walk in clinic. Since some of my symptoms were in line with the flu that was my given diagnosis. Once the holiday was over I went to my dr, before even testing me he knew it was mono. My test came back positive. I ended up on bed rest & tylenol for the fever. It took me several weeks to get over the hump.
Since you are coming off of surgery & running a low grade temp, stay in touch with your drs office. Above all, rest is very much needed. I hope you get to feeling better soon.
