Hi, I'm from the crohns board here at HW...but just recently was visiting with my bro and he informed that he uses "Stevia" because of his diabetes, so just thought I would throw that out there for you folks...I use it myself because sugar and sugar substitutes are pretty nasty and excess bacteria in my guts are the last thing my crohns disease needs, not to mention all the other negative side effects.
Anyways, take care! :)
Thanks for the tip. We appreciate your thoughtfullness. Sorry about your crohns... It really is a stupid disorder! (My daughter has it...)

Hi,
I agree completely about Stevia. My son is in Medical School and he was the one that told me to use Stevia. His advice was that Aspertame was not only a major carcinogin, but has been linked to all kinds of problems for diabetics. He said the jury is still out on Splenda so use Stevia, a plant extract that is not a man made chemical.
As much as we can tend to fight over things, I happen to agree with him on this.

Went out and bought some STEVIA after reading this thread. I have been long concerned about the amount of SWEET-N-LOW I use daily.
Everything I have heard here and read online about STEVIA sounds good, but man it tastes bad!
