I'm a new mom once again, and I have never had experience with this before and I'm scared to death. My son is still in the hospital, I'm glad for that cause I'm scared for when he comes home. I guess I'll get used to changing a bag full of poop. I am just sick of stupid nurses who know nothing about ostomies. I'm afraid when I leave the hospital something will get infected and he'll have to stay longer. There is just too many feelings going on at one time...........
My older son was in the hospital for three months because he was premature, so I am really impatient with the medical staff. So if anyone has an infant with a stoma please......... any advise would be wonderful.
Hi Kami,,
welcome to the board. I myself has an ileostomy, it's just a week old today, I am sorry to hear that your baby has to have an ostomy, I dont have any advice for that part but I will keep you and him in my thoughts and prayers.
There are alot of caring people on here, we just seem to be a little slow replying. Some of the people have web sites that they have created and have lots of members and links , you should check them out.
Shaz and Kerry are two that I can think of right off bat.
Hang in there.

I Just tell myself, it could be worse !!!
