as some of you know i have not been feeling well lately, and apparently gave it all to you!!! (i really home you girls are feeling better).
(first time i posted a smiley face, what is with the smurf, and the dude doing a lude dance?) [see below]
anyway--i have found little relief.
last night before bed i was washing my face and puked in the sink! not a whole body, wretching, nasty puke--no, i just opened my mouth! well, i then ran to get a hug from my husband and tell him of my new trick, and realized i needed to blow my nose--Low and Behold there was tomato soup in my nose!!! so apparently now my food comes back out any orifice it deams necessary without any warning to me! so after a night of this (the nose thing only happened that one time) "this" being, lots of pooping (not diarrhea mind you--poo and lots of it, like i have been storing it for years) and my new "puke" trick, tingling in my limbs, AND stinky farts ( I left the room, usually i only leave the room when the dog or my husband farts--i can stand my stink), i woke up this morning with so much pain, and lots more poo to be unleashed, a headache, AND i am starving. what is a girl to do? so i am having tea and plan on eating broth and rice today, and working from home. what is sad is that i have had these days before (not the puke, nose, stinky fart thing...) but the stabbing pains, like i ate knives, and the tremendous amounts of waste--i don't know how much longer i can take this!! (do not fear--that was not a dangerous "i am going to harm myself" statement, just a cry out of desperation)
i keep a food journal, but i can't find what is different... unless this is all delayed reactions... I started taking Digestive Advantage, I take Acidophilus, a multi-vitamin, the pill, Tylenol when i have pain, Lactaid when i have dairy, and Nulev when necessary (hysocomine--don't feel like remembering how to spell it--helps cramping.) I am off wheat and gluten--though i find out tomorrow if i have Celiac, and i limit dairy and fats. BUT i have had a bit more dairy lately--but with the lactaid and i usually have a immediate reaction to dairy, not hours and hours later... and i have worked out the stress i was having with work i don't feel worried about anything so i don't think this is stress related.
i just want some relief-- oh to be normal...
thanks for listening, i hope everyone is having a great day...

what would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?
Hi bunny,
Could you be preggers?
Could you be preggers?

**Des hits her own nogger LOL
Just asking? I didn't mean to start you on a whirlwind. LOL If you just had your period and you are on the pill, chances are very slim so don't go driving yourself crazy okay. I didn't mean to do that to you (((big hug)))
You might also want to get some doctors advice on checking your upper GI. My mother has GERD and a hiatal hernia and she gets sick a lot. I also have GERD and nausea seems to be a regular thing for me unfortunately. My mother has been doing so much better though since she chews her ginger gum and takes her Reglan. Okay, please don't go crazy about this either.... I'm just throwing things out in the air (diverting the preggers issue)

so remember how i am supposed to be off gluten? well i just read the ingredients to my multi-vitamin and there is corn starch (gluten) in it... so now i am trying to find the ingredients to my birth control pill, so far everything else has checked out okay. but my vitamin! it would make so much sense!!! now if only the doctor would tell me if i am gluten sensitve or not...
i just had the strangest poo, black spinach of sorts--i had spinach like two days ago! and i have gone since, what does it get stuck up there and hang on or something!!!
sorry, i am in rare form today... must be the baby...
--bunny
GERD, i have seen people mention it, but i have no hearburn or any indegestion of that sort--well until the face washing puke incident... hmm i'll look into it. thanks for caring though des, you rock!!
(and i have been laughing, you didn't make me cry or anything, just that twinge of nervous laughter--and feeling dumb...i am blonde and Polish... triple threat... you know i have said that to people and they don't get why it is funny--they try to correct me and explain that it is only a double threat--- people are silly!!)
Ok, now i am going... see you later!!! thanks des!

Bunny, I feel for you hon. I'm sorry you are having such a terrible time, but I'm glad you are staying amused (with dbab's help).
If you do indeed have Celiac's then it could very well be the vitamin that is making you sick.
Has your doc for sure ruled out any IBD?
You know, I remember reading once that charcoal helps with the stinky farts (and I think it helps the D too). It may be something to think about if you just can't stand your own stink anymore.
Well, I hope you get to feeling better soon. Please keep us posted.

I've heard of having "wet" burps. Did you burp and just happen to bring something up? Did you eat an especially big meal? Last week I ate some chips and dip that was much greasier than I'm used to and I woke up in the middle of the night with it still sitting on my stomach. I had to take some Reglin to get my stomach to empty and get it out of there. Sometimes the stomach just doesn't move normally, so you might have brought something up because it was sitting in there too long (or never went down). And since your throat and nasal passage are connected, snorting stuff through your nose is not unheard of--though it does tend to be milk. Now if it starts coming out your ears....
I have pooped bell peppers for a day or two after eating them. All people digest at different speeds, so a day or two delay is not concerning; I think you're just seeing the spinach because the insoluable fiber parts don't get digested (same with me and my bell peppers). Try drinking a pitcher of Kool-Aid one day; you'll poop red for at least a day!
When women start getting pregnant, stop drinking the water. And spit on your hands to avert "the evil eye" when someone makes jinxing statements, LOL.

Oh, and when my stomach is not in the best of shape, garlic... man, the garlic! Even just what's in my meal will make my poo very stinky! If you're taking it as a supplement, that may be contributing to your excess smell. When my stomach is not messed up, it's only somewhat noticeable, if at all.
i do eat the garlic...
and after tomato soup i poo red, i find it funny...not enough to bring in a friend to show though...
yes peppers, the infamous corn, i guess most veggies....
i will stop now.
as for the "wet burp" no, it wasn't that--i have had them though, usually when i am in bed, very nice pillow talk...
oh, and i think my doctor is well, not the brightest crayon in the box...
he is also cross eyed, imagine my fear when he told me he was going to be performing my colonoscopy and EGD... i asked, "who are you talking to?" while looking to my right....
but as far as he is concerned there is nothing wrong with me.
i am just so frustrated, i need to go to work--but i feel like crap everyday (i was doing great for a while though), and i don't want to make an irrational decision like quitting or taking a leave when i feel like crap, and i am doing part time now--but i can't keep my mind on anything!! all i think about is "what am i doing that makes me feel so bad?" i have talked to them (that is why i am doing part time) but this week has been awful for me, especially today... it sucks.
allright enough, i got some work to do... thanks all...
i appreciate being able to partake in a bizzarre stream of conscience exercise... so thanks!

LOL about your doc, Bunny. That is scary to have a cross-eyed doc doing scopes. I'm not cross-eyed, nor do I know anyone who is, so I have no idea if they see normally (sorry if I offended anyone out there).
Anyway, you should definitely only eat garlic that has been really well cooked. Also, tomato anything is hard on the gut for IBSers. Like you mentioned, so are peppers and corn, onions and most leafy greans and anything in the cauliflower family. It seems as though the only things we can eat would fall under "bad" or "unhealthy" or "processed." But those too do a number on the gut.

My family gives me crap all the time because I don't drink enough juice. They just don't get that it is hard on my gut... gives me gas or heartburn or D (sometimes all of the above).
Anyway, watch carefully what you eat. Be wary of gassy and acidic food. Try stocking up on the ginger tea too.
Hope you feel better...
