Parasthesia and MS

Hi- about 9 years ago I got some strange symptoms. They were mostly a crawly skin sort of thing all over my body. With time they sort of faded away, but in the last few days they have returned. When I saw doctors back then they really had very little to say. One G.P thought it could be MS, but did not believe a spinal tap would be worth it. I have had some other seemingly mild neurological symptoms with sight and hearing, but I do not seem to have most of the classic M.S symptoms. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Most doctors start with an MRI and not the lumbar puncture.  MS has extremely variable symptoms.  You need to journal these to create a symptom history.  Hearing and vision can also be effected by MS.  Good luck.  Keep us posted.

I have no lesions on my soul and so I will live with no limits.

Hi, the "crawly things" for me, are definitely ms related. I had optic neuritis in 2003, but was not put through the diagnostic tests, except the mri, until last year. I held out on the spinal until last, but that is what definitely put me down as ms.
