Is a girl who feels worthless
but strives to be worthy
 
Is a girl who feels unloveable
but wants to be loved
 
Is a girl who feels ugly
but wants to be pretty
 
Behind her smile
Are great feelings of sadness
 
Not being good enough
Stupid
Uncaring
Unkind
 
Behind her smile
Is a girl reaching desperately for life
not knowing if she wants to live
 
Behind her smile
Is pain, sadness
and lingering hope for the future
 
Behind her smile
Is just a girl...

Yeah, me too. All I can ever manage is doggerel...good for Xmas cards and crackers, but hardly profound. eyes
