Post chemo post mastectomy diarrhea

I was diagnosed in March of 2022 with Her2 metastatic breast cancer. Chemo started April 1st using a combination of meds. Mastectomy was on August 31st. Immediately following surgery I developed watery stools which has lasted a month and still continuing. I was tested for C-diff and many other things through stool sames and all test were negative. Does anyone have any dietary suggestions or has anyone also dealt with this issue?
Hello there, so sorry to read about the diarrhea issue. Usually when someone has diarrhea/loose watery stools they will eat a low residue diet. However, this should only be used for a short period of time because there isn't much nutrient value to it.

Have you tried OTC Imodium, I am thinking they now have a bit of a stronger one on the market now. I keep it on hand at all times, I have crohns disease & often need it.

If the Imodium has not worked, by all means see your pcp about this. Your pcp can prescribe something to help you out. One of the problems with watery diarrhea is becoming dehydrated.

This forum is extremely slow with little activity, but I wanted to pop on & post to you.

Take care.
