I just went through the same Procedure, the doctor said the first 6 months are the worse. Per my doctor, the majority of the people who go through the procedure can not burt at all. He said I would hate him for the first 6 months. Try writing down the food you eat, if you get gas afterwords, don't eat it again for 6 months, You may need time to adjust, or you could have food allergies like I do. Tomatoes, peppers, garlic and heavy spices are universal trouble foods. Expecially if you have been on the Gerd or ulser diets, They are giving me trouble. I'm still in bland food and Lord help if I use a straw to drink or eat to fast.
Hi all , Im post my 2nd Laproscopic Fundo and 5 months down the line im having a bad patch. All was very well up to 4 weeks ago...eating normally again ( bit bloated though). Now however somthing seems to have changed or shifted or come undone?!. Im having a range of symptoms that come and go...strong desire to burp to release gas which is somtime easy somtimes very difficult, Bloating, tightness, Fullness, burping while eating to move food down and possibly even the return of acid. ( im back on the Zoton just incase). Its wierd because somtimes im completely symptom free...it seems to have a mind of it own. Not really sure why im writing this but im getting very depressed and having quite big mood swings. Ironicly the one thing i find tends to quieten down the symtoms a lot is a little alcohol..I think this is also pschological. Anyway Im trying to keep me chin up but i just feel so terribly alone with this problem sometimes.

..feel im stuck like this for the rest of my life. Sorry to be a misery but im keen to speak to other sufferers..any positives to cheer me up
Hi guys, I'm sorry that you've had such difficulties post operation. I've had my surgery two weeks ago and so far all is going very well. I'm able to burp as good as before the op and probably for this reason I have not much bloating. The only thing that I have to be careful able is not eating too fast as it gets backed up a little.
And most importantly I have no reflux and orange juice sure does taste good, I had forgetton! I think that the fact I've had the partial 180% WRAP instead of the full WRAP is the reason why my symptoms aren't so severe right now. Of course it's early days and the partial wrap hasn't got quite as high Reflux remission success rate, but it isn't far behind and given that the post op symptoms are much less severe on average, I'm glad I went partial!
Dear Blasterboy!
Im in the UK ! I need this surgery myself! I need to know how your feeling? Are you acid free? Can you eat normally? can you burp?
Where did you have the op?
Please get in touch!!
Regards
Lee
