post reconnection and spice

Anyone else post reconnection and have problems eating spicy foods? I really miss that with the ostomy. I LOVE spicy food and hope that my butt gets used to it...It doesn't hurt by belly just when it comes out. Anyone else?

I can certainly sympathise with you there, this is my 3rd year since having a reversal after colon cancer and I really suffer with a painfull butt after eating certain foods. (It is like pooping battery acid) spicy foods, cream, chocolate all tend to give me the "trots" and I end up with a really sore rear end. :( Other than that, I have never felt better thank God!

I have a jpouch and have never had a problem eating spicy foods.  Some people get butt burn, others don't.  I've never had it.  However, most people who have BB eat spicy foods, they just prepare for it.
