I'm so over dealing with Fibro since I was 30...... Just turned 31 and feel as if I was born with a old persons body. I try to explain how fibro feels to people, but it's as if I'm all alone in the world with this. On top of fibro, I'm also dealing with a deep depression, now being treated with medicine, along with insomnia treated with medicine, and anxiety attacks that landed me in the hospital with low blood pressure.... I have a great support system, however, I still feel all alone in this world. I mean, here it is 2:40am and I'm no where near sleepy... UGH... Anyhow, I guess all I can do is take all my medicines and one day at a time. I just wanted somewhere where I can vent and people actually understands what I'm going through....
I have fibro too. So I know the pain that you are going through, it is no fun...
Taking life one day at a time is the key. I am glad that you said that. It is called being mindful. You are living in the moment. And with fibromyalgia, it is the only way that you can live.
Do you have anything for the pain and fatigue? I take meds for that and it really helps.
Keep posting. This is an old thread, so I hope you get responses. If not, try starting a new one and see if it helps. It is very early here, so give it some time. People don't get up as early as I do. lol...
Good morning Karen. As far as the medicines I am currently taking the help with my health issues are; Lyrica 150 MG ( 2x a day ), Citalopram HBR 20 MG ( once a day ), Amitriptyline HCL 100 MG ( once a day ) and Oxycodone-Acetaminopen 5-325 ( 3 times a day ). Of course since I have had this for over a year now, there has been a lot of trial and error, and trust me, that was no fun at all.... SIGH... Anyhow, I didn't get to bed untill 5:00am and woke back up at 8:20am. As bad as this sounds, thats about normal for me now. Eventhough, there is no such thing as normal. I'm delighted that you actually understand with what I'm going through. I'm going to get try to get my day going, so I will talk to you later.
I take oxycodone/acet too. It really helps with the pain. Though there are people who beg to differ with that. I also take adderall for the fatigue. It keeps me out of bed. It took awhile for me to get things right for me. A few years. But you have to keep pushing I guess to be heard. A lot of trial and error here too. I also take depression meds, pristiq, abilify and xanax. They help me a lot. I walk daily when I can. It is raining today and I am not having a really good day because of that and some other things going on. But pushing through.
I hope that you feel better soon. We have a daily check in thread that is fun if you feel like reading and posting there. Take care and keep posting.
Hugs, Karen...Moderator-Depression and fibromyalgia
