sound familiar?

I just wanted to write down what has happened to me this past week in hopes that it will sound familiar to someone and I can hear some opinions.  A week ago, I started taking 2 probiotics at night (in addition to my 40 mg nexium in the morning).  On day 3 of this, I got really sick with the burping, flatuelence, chest pain, throwing up in mouth.  I quit the probiotics but kinda thought it may be due to some high carb eating I had done those days too.  I was fine for a day and then wham!!  too sick to leave my house.  Really really bad pain.  I called the nurse and she said to take double nexium (80 mg) for about a week to get it in my system good.  Well, I took my second one around 9 a.m. after having taken my first one at 7 a.m. and by lunch I was feeling pretty good.  The flatulence went away entirely which was good cause it was the worst I  can imagine.  That was yesterday.  I got up today and took 1 nexium (planning to take the 2nd one tonight per the nurse's advice)....felt really good until about 10 a.m.  Started burping, chest pain, feeling like crawling in bed (still no flatulence tho).  What is up?  The burping is the really deep gurgliing kind but I am not throwing up in the back of my mouth.  I feel like I have almost every piece of a puzzle but just can't quite make out the picture.  I feel like I am so close to getting a handle on this.  The reason I bring up the flatulence so much is that is always the first sign that I am going to have a terrible day or two with this stuff.  I had a great day and that night (excuse me here )  had a really loud and unbelievably smelly bit of air!! The next day was the day I was in such pain I could not leave my house.  I woke up that morning and ate 1/2 a boiled egg and some cold water and the coldness of the water actually hurt my stomach.  I could feel how cold it was in my stomach.  Any words of wisdom here would be so appreciated.  Thank you to everyone who actually read this whole manuscript!!

Hi hearty,

I am so sorry that you are going through all this. Some of it is a little familiar...but I know where my problems lie. I have IBS C&D. My flatulence and pain comes from IBS D and I have medication for it. I would check with my doc hearty, right away if I were you. It sounds like you have too much pain to just be handling it on your own. Oh, and just a quick note...I read somewhere, sometime,  that if you have any sort of "gut" problems it is best to drink room temp water. I'm sorry I can't offer you any mored advice than this...Im not the most knowledgeable in medication...as I have said before. I guess I could add that maybe you should put yourself on a bland diet and slowly start introducing other foods again. But, please, see your doc about this. Rule out anything more serious okay. Let us know how you are doing. Hugs to you,
