Tale of a Chronie after a weekend holiday of no's no's

You wake up get ready for work and your intestines are doing the after holidays dance..You do your hair and makeup on the toilet and hope it subsides before you have to get in the car and face morning traffic along with a possible accident back up on the freeway..Your stomach turns and maybe you took your husband's truck this morning with no accident bag(wet wipes, clean apparel, and shoes)..An accident would mean you have to go back home! You make a sprint from the parking lot to a bathroom stall at work hoping you make it! You make plenty of noise while you are in there too..You see the same ladies at lunch giving you a horrified stare!! All day long you only have some soup hoping things will calm down..You even have to place a client on hold at least once while you make a sprint across the office to bathroom..You are remembering the whole time you have no emergency back-up in the car either!! You do make it home later only to think was it that I ate this that or the other, or the trip, or just dealing with the stress of the holiday?? You move your emergency bag from your car to your husband's vehicle knowing you have to take that vehicle all week, but you hope you will only have to put up with this today only?? Hope everyone had a good day after the holiday Crohnie Day!! tongue

Ah yes. Sounds like many of my days as well. I got a good chuckle out of your story, thanks for sharing!
Finally diagnosed with UC 3/2012 by colonoscopy. Constant diarrhea and incontinence since 12/2010. I think I actually have Crohns since I get mouth ulcers and was hospitalized with ileitis for 1 week in 2005.

Current meds: Lialda 4xday
Past meds: 1 month of prednison

I take meds for other health conditions: Interstitial Cy****, Fibromyalgia, Asthma and Occipital Neuralgia
I'm still observing my own gut's process. I'm now on the third day after the Day Of Two Aleves. Today I can say that the upper GI flaming pain is gone. Now it's only poor appetite and super soft stool, plus the bonus of random gas pains. I have high hopes that there will be continual improvement all week. But my darn knee still hurts. NO ALEVE WILL BE TAKEN.

I had only one day of pure misery..I have watched what I ate for the last couple of days really closely..but I am excessively tired..It is like all the fluids and nutrients get flushed right along with everything else..It can last for a few days then if it is an all out flare misery for long periods of time with trips the doctor and meds will follow..Welcome to CD. I always pray for the few days! :-)
