Basically, they introduce allergens into your skin and watch for reactions.

BTW... This is wonderful information... my DH hasn't had an official allergy test done however he knows mostly what he is allergic to by the seasons but the tests don't seem too horrible really, I think that he was not really excited about doing the allergy test but I will print this out for him so he can see that it really isn't that bad
