I guess I am going to go on Faslodex. My TM's went from 145 to 294 from September to now. Great. eyes We are going to try this for 2 months and then see what happens. I have asked not to do chemo until after the holidays at my last appointment, which was last Friday. But I guess I am going to go back and talk it over with him. I am just determined to have a normal holiday season this year. It just totally sucked last year b/c I was in and out of the hospitals throughout December, then we find the brain mets on the 2nd of January. I am so over this crap. How do we go about treating one BC that was ER- to treating the new one that was ER+. Double up on everything? UGH, that sounds like fun. I am like a science project. I have info from a clinic at my Mom's house. The Cancer Treatment Center of America or something like that. I tried to get info from them 2 or 3 times and never got it. ( that was last December/ January ) My mom calls and gets in Fed Exed to her! Maybe I didn't sound frantic like mom does when I talk to people about it. This just sucks. But I am not going to let it ruin my Thanksgiving. I will still make my dad his Blueberry pie tomorrow. I have never made one! LOL But I have the premade crusts to roll out. All I have to do is get the blueberries. I have all the other ingredients. Mom told me to get the pie filling! LOL I said that was cheating! But I am going to buy it, just incase! I bought two things of pie crusts! I always get into the baking mode around this time of year until January hits! Then I am done. Except for the normal stuff like brownies.
Oh well, I am going to go for now. I hope you all have nice Holiday weekend.

I made a blueberry pie last year for the first time. As I learned from experience - nono don't use frozen blueberries! The pie is much too runny!
I hope things turn out OK for you. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Hey there Shells. You are really something else! I wish I lived nearer so I could really get to visit with you! All the stuff going on in your life and you are going to tackle a blueberry pie for dear old dad. The last time I tried blueberry filling I bought frozen berries and like someone suggesed above, it was pretty runny, but I was making it on top of the stove to put over cheesecake, so I stirred a little cornstarch in a little cold water and added..... it would have worked great if I had given it some time to thicken, but I was impatient and added a little more. Then it was like too thick................. Ugh if I could only learn to be a little more patient.
I am making pumpkin pies for tomorrow and I bought the new refrigerated crusts that just came out that are in a roll, so they don't have creases to paste together. Usually I would make my own crusts, but I figure that is too much to manage for a meal for only six or eight of us. No one is visiting this year, so it is only those living here and I am not sure if dgd and her soon to be groom will be eating with us or not. Have a wonderful day. I agree on enjoying the holidays this year, too. Then go for it. I hope the new meds makes you stronger and drops those darnable TMs. Love, MK
