Ugh back again

I was doing really well for a bit. For me….75-80% of what I put in my mouth dictates if I have a lot of pain or not. Sugar is a huge problem for me. I’ve also stopped walking since it’s freezing. Daily exercise helps me a lot.
I’m also one of the few people that can take prescription pain meds and it works for me.

Oh & stress….I came back from vacation in October, and my boss decided since 2 people left…and since nobody else knows how to do their work….except me…..🙄

Hi, Hopegirl, and welcome back. I think you already know what you need to do to feel better. You mentioned sugar, walking, and stress so those are the things you need to work on.

But there might be something else you aren’t aware of. Do you know that your body turns carbohydrates into glucose…sugar? So you should watch the amount of carbs you eat in a day if sugar affects you negatively. This could make a huge difference in how you feel.

Pain goes with the territory of fibro plus other illnesses I have so I don’t fret over them. Thinking about pain a lot just brings it to the forefront. Instead I figure out how to work around the pain to do the things I need to do and want to do. I do keep moving but I also take breaks and rest. I’m on blood thinners now so I am only taking arthritis strength Tylenol and methocarbamol, which is my muscle relaxer, and I’m doing fine. Yes, I have pain but I’m still functioning well.

Let’s face it. We all eat many, many carbs plus have desserts and candy during the holidays and it sure can affect us. It’s time to get back on track and you should feel better in the not too distant future by doing this. Do let us know how you are doing because we do care about you.

Oh dear, the holidays... I got so much candy and cookies at Christmas. I had such a hard time with it, trying to stay out of it. It affected both my fibromyalgia and my diabetes. And once I ate some, I craved more sugar. It is a vicious cycle.
