Well I am home from Spokane

The Dr prescribed me Arthrotec 75. Anyone heard of it? He said it is a very powerful anti-inflamatory, and if it doesn't work, none of them will. I start with 1 a day and work up to 3 if needed. I go back in one month. He also gave me a novacane/cortisone shot in both hips. He said I have pretty substancial bursitis in each hip. The bed in the hotel was horrible, so maybe tonight I will get a good nights sleep. He also took about 6 x-rays, bloodwork and urine test. Not quite sure what all that is for, but I feel he is thorough! I liked him. If this arthrotec works, I think I'll marry him!! LOL! Oh wait, Lou might not agree with that! Oh well, I guess a big hug will have to do =)
Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers. I will let you know if it works. L&H, Gail

Gail, sending hugs and prayers that this does the trick for you. Glad you got there and back safely. I think you need to stick with the hug for the doc. LOL

Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present!

Gail, this doc sounds like a gem.  Like that he's so thorough.  Hope this med works wonders for you...it's not easy living in constant pain.  Gentle hugs hon, Libby

Friends are God's way of taking really good care of us.

It sure does sound like you had a thorough going over. I will add my prayers with the others that this medicine works and you get some relief. Hugs MK

Welcome back, sweetie. Glad you got something besides Tylenol for your efforts. I'm praying that this one is IT! (Not the doctor, the drug!!)!

Love you,
Rita

Hi and Hugs Gail,
Hope it works. Maybe I should change to this anti-imflammatory instead of Celerex. It's probably not a Cox-2 inhibitor is it?
I think Lou is really nice too. He doesn't mind if you travel. Love, Di P.S. Tell him Hi from me.
Gail, I'm so sorry you're suffering like this. Hope the new medicine works and you get some relief. Sending you hugs, Luci
