It's a SNOWING! Got 2 inches, looks so so pretty. So I guess the rheummy was right when he said..."You're just predicting the weather". Perhaps I am in the wrong profession.

Sorry to all who have got plummeted by 2 feet of snow. But this morning was so beautiful. Just enough to make the mountains and trees look pretty, but not so much to be annoying. Very ICY...be careful.
Hey Ducky, looks like you found a Graves person! At least that was one catch...a start....maybe someone else who is familiar with the decompression will find it.
Had a wonderful weekend with my honey. Well needed. Even got breakfast in bed! Very thoughtful. So I did get spoiled....but deserved it.
Still dealing with some major pains, but going to try not to aggravate them anymore today, gonna rest.
With another storm front coming in, am not EXPECTING another flare up...BUT AM PREPARED if one should come.

Blowing and snowing here. The squalls can get pretty bad but we are far enough inland that we don't get the worst of them. 
Now....2 hours north.....whoowee.....they have got major snow. Right smack dab inthe middle of the snowbelt. Glad I'm this far south, I like snow but not that much. ;-)
Went to see the rhuemy today. Things are great. He found no swelling in the joints and I am to continue on as we are. I go back and see him in 9 months unless things head south. The only thing he changed was the frequency of my blood work. I am now to go every 3 months instead of every 5. He had upped me to every 5 since my blood work has always been normal but he says that he has recently had a few patients on the enbrel have their white counts drop so he wants to keep a closer watch on mine. If that is all I have to do, I can live with it. I feel so bad coming on and telling you all this. I hear how some of you are suffering and I don't want to come on and say that things are great. Oh, this is so hard to do.
Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you Erin. I hope that the disability thing resolves itself really fast. You need the help. I wish that it wasn't so hard for you. Maybe we should start a petition and have all of us sign it and send it to your senator? Think it could help? We'll by-pass all those much lower and head straight into the government!!!! If only........
Cold seems to be finally leaving. Yeah!!!!!! Now if my nose would just heal things would really be looking up.

Ducky, how are you? I am finding my plaques are getting worse but the joints aren't. I thought maybe the meds were not working as well but obviously they are according to the Dr. Must just be the winter weather. How are yours doing?
Well, I should probably head out. I'm up really early to drive my hubby into work so I can have the car to go see my family Dr. for "that" test. (Don't think too hard about that girls)

Yeah, on Enbrel my WBCs dropped to 3.2 but I luckily didn't get sick (even working in the hospital! hooray to handwashing! the CDC is right with that! best defense!). Now the Humira has dropped them to 2.8.
I hope you labs come good, enough so you don't have to be pulled from any meds.

Have we not had our "you know whats?" I skipped November completely. 3 preggy tests say "NO".

Hey Oreo, I'm in the same boat as you are, my plaques are getting worse, but my joint pain isn't... I guess it is the weather?! Who knows... I was enjoying not having many plaques and now they are popping up again...dang it... Good luck at the dr's today... I've got a rheumy appointment tomorrow, that I'm going to have to reschedule, but I do want to ask him about my plaques... Since I am only on the Enbrel, I wounder if he might prescribe something as an adjunct?.... hhhmmm... we'll see...

Oreo, how are you doing? Did the Docs go ok? Hope your nose is clearing up.
Ducky, I think that an adjunct med might be a good idea...I hope you get the results you want. Or do you think a lot has to do with the weather change? Yeah, Joe will send your ovaries into shock! LOL. I'm still a no-go. I've only went down one pound, from 95 to 94...but I was 92lbs and still regular. So I have NO IDEA what happenned. But...I'll take another test next week and have bloodwork done to be 100 percent sure, before I start taking the Immuran and Remicade.

Ooh baby it's cold outside! Wow...21 degress....OUCH!!! Long john time, and heavy underwear, tee hee hee.
Call me crazy, but I'm up @ 5am and am off to get boots! I figure, to get there by 9 or 10am I should start now. LOL. MACY's is having a big sale, so that's where I'll be. It's a snowin' so unlike last year....I MUST NOT PROCRASTINATE getting the snow boots. Can't afford wet toes this year. Wish me luck, I hope I make it home in one piece! It's just a few minutes away, so it's easy to get to at least.

Doc's went okay....as okay as THAT can be. Talked about hormone stuff. I have 3 options; do nothing, start the "pill", or surgical interventions to look as reasons why. Guess which one I am going to choose??????? That's right......NOTHING!!!!!! I couldn't tolerate the pill years ago so why try again. I am enjoying not being nauseaus, why, oh why, would I want to take something that will change that? Dr. suggested that I wait a few months and see if it continues to get worse and then we can discuss if it does. Sounds great.

Man, got to MACY's...and let me tell ya.....BOGUS!! In the 21 degree weather I trecked there, made it OK....only to be very disapointed by their stock. Nothing! There were 2 pairs I kinda liked...but they were still a little on the ugly side. Hence, I left.

Being able to walk was good, went & had my bloodwork done @ the hospital on the way back (nice to have everything 10 minutes away).
Now I'm beat.

The foot is GREAT. I had no idea it was in such bad shape until it was fixed! Ya know how this stuff just slowly gets worse and worse and you just feel rotten all over. It's made me think a little more about joint replacement in my fingers. Rheumy has been urging it.
Haven't had any more inquiries on the business. I know I'm going to have to hire someone. I can't do it any more. My being there seems to calm hubby down so I'll probably continue to "babysit".

Boo, I can't rememeber - what surgery did you get, ankle fusion?
I was "late" myself this month and thought FOR sure #3 was on its way after a few strange problems I typically never have - but, luckily I was wrong. I need to consider some new options. I used to take the pill, tried the patch, but after the liver issues last year and getting the "Ok" on my liver today - I hate to risk it, espeically if Enbrel has any affect on it as well (does it?) Hubby doesn't want to get "fixed" even though it's a one day thing for him.
Oreo - I'm SO happy to hear you are still doing well!!!! Keep us informed on that!

Camama, they don't know for sure if Enbrel has any effect on the developing fetus but they do strongly recommend that you don't get pregnant. You know a tubal is now only a one day thing for us too. I found that it wasn't all that painful. The general was pretty rough but the healing was fine. I went the "clip" route as it is the least likely to fail. (I know there are people out there who it did fail for but that was my gynob's opinion) It is a lap. procedure, so in and out in under 3 hours. (if the general doesn't cause you too much grief, which it did for me) Haven't had it fail yet and almost to the 10 year mark. If you get x-rays done of your lower back the clips look pretty cool 'cause they show up as bright white lines about the size of a wedding band. Took me a few minutes to figure out what they were. Think about getting yourself done if you are positive you are finished with kids. I thought about getting hubby done but when I heard about the swelling that could happen for them (think grapefruit b/t the legs)(ouchhhhh)........I just couldn't put him through it when I would simply end up with two little holes in my belly with lots of room for swelling if it happened. I have one small mark hidden in my belly button and another small scar hidden just under the hair line (trying not to be too graphic).

Hey Mama - me and my husband have both been taken out of the gene pool! You can never be too safe! I had mine done after I had a c-section with my son... My hubby had his done after the birth of his daughter... (we were both married before).... He said his wasn't that bad, just when the doc says to use frozen peas to help with the swelling, KEEP THEM IN THE BAG! You guys are too funny! My new joint is a little painful tonight. I think I was on my feet too much today. Need some more R&R. Still feels better than before the surgery though.
well, I THOGHT "fixed" would sound much nicer than my original word - "corked" Hubby and I discussed before my son's birth (c-section by default) if I should have the doc take care of (or is it 'get rid of?' ha ha) business before sewing me up. However, at the time, we (more I than we) was still considering a total of 3 children at the time.
PCP right off the bat said, 'no more! it's you or another baby' but I held on to the possibility until this last year. February rolled around and I had yet another bout of pnemonia and said, "forget it - no way am I risking it! I'm done with having any more children."
Oreo - I though you were 30 and had young children? How could you have had the surgery 10 years ago? I'm sorry if I'm going too far on the prying...just ignore the question if you want.
