I think that I'll call it an early night tonight...just a bit more fatigued than usual and I like staying on my toes! :)
Petey and Pookie's 4rth egg hatched and in 2 weeks I'll really have my hands full feeding 4 baby chicks! The little guy that I have now is done feeding with a syringe and has about another week at home with me, while I continue to socialize him/her and train 'em. When my cockatiels get to the pet shop they sell very quickly as they are fully hand tamed and eating seed. They love people and they are heart healthy!! teehee, at least for me and the others that love them. :)
I'll be around the forum for a while yet, so anyone that wants to say something, just jump right in here!

heidi, i'm an "air force brat" and know whatcha mean about having lived all over!
teri, i'm glad you're going to call it an early night, sounds like after the weekend you really need one. and with all the little bird stuff you have going on in addition, i'm sure you're pooped! to pooped to pop as lucy ricardo said once.
i had an eventful day in simply making doc appointments. seeing cardio boy wednesday. of course all else that happens will be determined from there. but i also went ahead and scheduled my endoscopy for the next friday. AND...i am now officially on the schedules of the mayo clinic in scottsdale arizona for june 1! now that is of course depending on what the cardio guy says. if he gives me a green light i might head for mayo much sooner, as my gastro/chest pain is still nearly unbearable, 6 days later...NOTHING seems to be helping, in my old repetoire of drugs. i have my moments, though, and this is one of them so thought i'd write and say i hope you're all well!

yes, definitely i'm a "can't get to sleep" kinda girl! i just look for my alternate to comfort food - comfort reading! i have some good ole books that i can re-read that help me keep my mind off thangs, and eventually, with a little help from mr. ambien, i can get some sleep.
did you do your half today and get in contact with your docs? i think you were shooting for an appointment -

You were paying attention! :) I have 2 appt.'s this week Libby. Wednesday 18th with the neuro Dr. and Fri. with the Cardio Dr. I still need a mammogram appt. It never seems to end...but thank goodness tomorrow is Tuesday, right!? lol

Libby I sent Teri the information from Mayo to pass on to you. I cannot eem to find the link to your home page she told me about. But I am glad you got in June 1st seems right around the corner. so far no agina attacks today i did 5 loads of clothes and hung them all outside just 2 towels need to finish drying too. I am reading up on my JaxCERT class tonight about psychology and disaster victime and phrases not to use like I am sorry, go ahead and cry, you are so strong etc that is well and normal but you really donot know how they feel or how strong they are so we got to learn new phrases and all the abbrevations SOP,ICD,ICDS etc dealing with Fires and rescue work out come my index cards to study and learn that way. but haveinga lady come adn talk to us tonight that was at 9-1 after it occured talking to the firemen and women and rescue personell and tell us what we will got hrough and expect to see and hear too during any type of disaster.

yes, thanks i got the mayo info.
right now though i'm waiting to hear from my gastro guy
to see if they will do an endoscopy THIS friday. i can't
wait. i'm in so much pain, not eating, i can't fathom 2
more weeks of this, as i'm just creeping around the house
bent over in pain for 6 days now. i see my cardiologist
tomorrow too and hoping of course he will say all is OK
there for me to go ahead with the endoscopy. i'm
keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn't think it's
cardio. i think i can last 1 more day without a doc, i
think -

hi all,
this is a rare statement from me: i give up - i'm headed to the ER.
either in fort worth or dallas. i'm almost positive it's gastro, but i
can't take the pain another minute. so it might be a few days afore
i write again, although i've told my partner darren how important this
forum is to me, so hopefully he can check in too.
thanks for your positive thoughts and prayers. i'm not as scared as
i just want out of pain.

Hi everyone, been so busy and it is only going to get worse because today I agreed to work even more hours at my day job. They were supposed to give me an answer as to if they wanted me full time or not today but the city counsel decided they needed 2 more weeks. I can't give up any of my hours at my night job until I know if I have the day job full time or not. I know my day boss would like me 5 full days at this point but I only agreed to work my 3 days plus 2 half days so I can sleep in the am. My memory isn't getting any better after stopping the toporal so it must be the zocor or plavix. New stomach med isn't working any better than the other stuff I took. I was so busy at work today that I didn't even sit at my desk. We have our big Sring banquet tomorrow for the senior center. It'll be a long day since I work tonight. Hope I get a good nap in tonight at work. In between all the work I am trying to get ready for my daughters graduation and take the dogs to the park as often as possible because we all need the exercise. Well need to go soak in the tub as I have some mysterious rash and that seems to help. Barb

Libby praying for you too. sure hope they find out what is wrong with you. I know my husband has baretts and diverticolous where he cannot eat ant seeds then internal hemmorids too, but we watch what we eat now if he cannot eat it or I cannot it.
we donot bring it in the house. Teri sure hope they can find out what is wrong with yuo. I am fixing to go to the Senior Fair and will catch up with the posts when I get back adn allready watching a storm and if it croses the mountains and builds back up huricane #1 Arlene will be named. our EOC memebrs and other ER folks are haveing mock disasters at the EOC Building.

The neuro Dr. said they can't rule out seizures, but that I definitely am having migraines. So they've started me with a gradual increase on Topamax. I have to also chart my 'auras' (the facial numbness) and depending on the increase in headaches, he may put me on more med.'s. I hope this one pill takes care of it all! :)

hi my ladies (and any gents lurking around),
i am home. i have been pummeled and prodded and had all kinds of fun.
the upshot is that my stress test and echocardiogram were just peachy.
my blood work is just peachy. so...it seems it's the gastro guys turn and
today he refused to do anything for me 'til NEXT friday (another week)
until i've been off my plavix. i am SO FRUSTRATED and sad, i cried and
cried today. of course i'm so glad my heart stuff was clear, but i'm in
so much pain, and hoped that this friday the gastro procedure could be
done. the thought of one more week of this makes me in-sane. he did
give me some new pain meds, which i've just popped. we'll see if they
make life bearable. he said and i quote "you can tough it out, or you can
go to the ER!" gee, thanks. anyway, my cardio guy said if my gastro stuff
is all clear then he's going back in with another cath, but he felt like most
hopefully that is not my problem.
frustrated. in pain. frustrated. but other than that...i am glad to be home
and back on my forum.
now, teri, what does that mean, exactly, about your migraines and new meds?
does that mean the migraines are seizure-related?
any word yet from ray?

Libby, I'm glad your stress test and echo were good. I'm sorry to hear you have to wait another week for the gastro! I hope those pain pills you were given work. You're in my prayers.
Teri, I hope the Topomax helps. I've taken that before. I hope it takes care of everything for you too!
I'm getting nervous. My EP appt is this afternoon so I'll find out about the recordings that I've made on my heart monitor. I've already had the stupid thing go off four times this morning! Arg!
